eLGAR - Smarter Systems Project

The Smarter Systems project was an award winning implementation programme  undertaken by Destin in partnership with eLGAR (Libraries for a Greater Auckland Region).  The programme implemented a single Library Management Systems and a set of processes and business rules across the libraries of five councils in the Auckland region.

1300 staff, based in over 50 library sites spanning the whole of the Auckland region,  were impacted by this project.  With the guidance of consultants from Destin, the programme was delivered on time and under budget, and deservingly the project went on to win a number of awards.

This was a groundbreaking project in many ways. For the first time ever, Councils from across Auckland shared a single technology platform along with process alignment and this was achieved with all Councils agreeing and accepting the changes that came with it.  The Change Management and Training streams of work were hugely successful and all Councils enjoyed a smooth transition.
